The Acolyte: A Star Wars Mystery Set a Century Before The Phantom Menace
When is The Acolyte set in the Star Wars timeline?
100 years before the rise of the Empire
The upcoming Disney+ series The Acolyte will take viewers on a journey even further back on the Star Wars timeline than ever before. The series is set 100 years before the events of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, during the final days of the High Republic era.
This period in Star Wars history has been largely unexplored, but it promises to be a fascinating time to visit. The Republic is at its height, but there are dark forces at work that will eventually lead to its downfall. The Acolyte will follow a group of Jedi as they investigate a crime spree that could have far-reaching consequences for the galaxy.
The series will star Amandla Stenberg as Acolyte, a young Padawan learner, and Lee Jung-jae as her Jedi Master, Qui-Gon Jinn. The cast also includes Jodie Turner-Smith, Manny Jacinto, and Charlie Barnett.
The Acolyte is set to premiere on Disney+ in 2024.
